A Baby Craft

I'm linking up with Katie & Stephanie again!  This time I made something for Carson.  He's been really into textures lately.  He loves the touch and feel books, he loves crinkle toys, and he really is getting into petting our dogs (it's adorable)!  I saw these sensory bags on Pinterest and knew he would love one.

I wanted to use things I already had at home.  I went through my craft stuff and found some fuzzy sparkle puffs, glitter, and some star beads.  I was going to use some cheap hair gel for the liquid part, but we didn't have any and I didn't want to buy that.  We had one of those jumbo soap refill jugs that was clear and I really didn't like the scent of it anyway so I used that!  Carson loves playing with this, but I make sure I'm always with him in case it happens to bust open.  I reinforced it with packaging tape, but you never know what his razor claws could cut through! :)

Note: I think the gallon size is great for older kids, but next time I make one of these I'll probably just do a sandwich bag or quart size baggie!

Make sure to head on over and link-up with the girls!

  5. I may have to try this for the Hal-meister although I'm sure it will go straight into the mouth! I saw something similar on Pinterest for when she gets a little older. You make these types of bags with glitter and such in it and they can practice making shapes, letters and numbers in them!
