Pregnancy #1

On September 21, 2011 I got some of the best news ever...I was pregnant!!  Even though we had been trying, I was still in disbelief when I saw the positive test so *of course* I had to take another the next day just to make sure it wasn't a fluke!

Believe it or not, I waited an entire day to tell Nick (aka the hubster).  I wanted to make SURE this was really it before I announced to him.  I knew I wanted a creative way to surprise him with the news.  I usually get home from work before him.  I told him that I had tried to make a snack after work and the oven was messed up.  I asked for him to take a look.  When he went to check it out, he found this:

At first he was VERY confused.  This is about how our conversation went....
Nick: "Babe.....what the......?!"
Me: "What is it?!"
Nick: "It's a bun!"
Me: "Where is it?!"
Nick: "....in the oven?"
Me: "So what is it?!"
Nick: ".........a bun in the oven......."
Me: ...........
Nick: "Oh my gosh, babe, really?!  Did you take a test?!"

When Nick finally figured it out, I had this little piggy bank with a message about saving up for Carson's college fund and on the back of the card was the picture from above with my two positive tests!

Our first ultrasound was October 26th at 9w5d.  Our little peanut was moving ALL around and it was so neat to see the baby so active, so early!  We were able to see and hear the heartbeat and it was all so amazing!  

We had an elective 3d gender scan at 14w2d!  Here are a couple of the pictures we got of our adorable Baby BOY!

We had such a great time announcing our pregnancy to friends and family!

Carson was born on 5/18 6 days early (39w1d)!

7 lbs 2.9oz (19.75" long)!
